SAPTAPADI (II) - 3 (Nuri Granth - Vol I - Page 215)

At Thy door, O Beloved, I have held my begging bowl,
Hear my entreaty, O! my Merciful Lord!
None has returned empty-handed from Thy door,
Shower Thy bounty on me too,
A mendicant and a beggar that I be!
Hear my entreaty, O! my Merciful Lord!

Make my eyes see with pity,
And make my hands work with kindness,
And let compassion pervade my heart, O generous Giver!
Pray endow my being with Thy lustre,
And pour Thy mercy within me!
Hear my entreaty, O! my Merciful Lord!

Keep my mind ever pure and serene,
And let not my heart, stray from Thy door!
With Thy bounty, fill my begging bowl,
And let Thy lotus visage be ever near me!
Hear my entreaty, O! my Merciful Lord!

Nuri Nimani prays for Thy grace,
And begs for a salve for her afflicted heart!
Hear my entreaty, O! my Merciful Lord!
